ELECTRIC ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
The Water Works and Lighting Commission is looking to fill the position of Engineering Technician – Electric. This person will be responsible for technical engineering support for the electric department.
This position is responsible for the design, implementation and record keeping of the electric department. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to, producing work orders and estimates, coordinating credits, field work and record keeping, for the electric department, updating the existing electrical GIS system, calling in Diggers Hotline tickets and working with the City Engineering Department.
Knowledge of GIS software, and the PSC’s rules and regulations pertaining to electric utilities is desired.
Successful candidate must have good organizational skills and good written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to work unsupervised, be experienced in Word, Excel, Access, and e-mail software and possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
Preferred candidate will have an Associate’s degree as an Engineering Technician with an emphasis in Electrical Discipline or a combination of education in a related field and equivalent experience.
